Japanese scientist, Mr. Kato Eishin from Hosoda SHC Co. Ltd. has been exploring Indonesia for 10 years and finally found Melinjo Seed from Java Island.

This discovery of excellent natural functional ingredient urged us to support melinjo cultivation in Indonesia by creating mutual system between Indonesian people, environment, agriculture and local economy situation.

Based on this idea, Non-profit Organization JASMELINDO was established on May 2006 as a Japanese branch of Asmelindo. Asmelindo itself is abbreviation from Association of Melinjo Indonesia, is an agricultural organization whose activities are mainly in melinjo and is officially recognized by Indonesian Department of Agriculture.

At the present, while supporting melinjo popularization and cultivation, Jasmelindo is helping stability of Indonesian farmer`s income.
